Observing how quickly society mutates and adapts to new changes while it continues to use instruments that are becoming obsolete is curious. Contrary to reflecting us as equals, the physiological and human fact of using the bathroom generates social and architectural frontiers in public cohabitation. This work aims to analyse the bathroom figure within the collective space. The aspects to be considered in the design, from gender identity and expression to the incipient appearance of mixed bathrooms, originate a broad debate that this study addresses during its development. It is, therefore, a reflective look at the projection of these mechanisms and their adequacy in the evolution of contemporary subjects.
